Press Release from the City of Madison:

Due to weather and roadway conditions, the emergency utility repair work in the 5000 block of University Avenue (westbound) near N. Whitney Way scheduled to take place on Friday, February 8, 2013 has been moved to Monday, February 11, 2013.

This will result in the outbound median lane being closed between the hours of 8 AM and 3 PM on Monday, February 11th. The bicycle lane and path will remain open.

Motorists are encouraged to use different routes to avoid delay during this project.

Emergency Utility Repair - 5000 Block University Avenue (near N. Whitney Way)

Emergency utility repair work in the 5000 block of University Avenue (westbound) near N. Whitney Way is scheduled for Wednesday, February 6, 2013 and Thursday, February 7, 2013.

As a result, University Avenue will be reduced to one outbound travel lane and the outbound bicycle lane and bicycle path will be closed, between the hours of 8 AM and 3 PM on both February 6th and 7th.

Motorists and bicyclists are encouraged to use different routes to avoid delay during this project.
