Information from the Green County Sheriff's Department:
At 10:43 PM on Thursday deputies along with Brodhead Police, Fire and EMS responded to a one vehicle crash on a gravel road along the Raceway north of CTH F, Town of Decatur.
Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by a 17-year-old Monroe resident was southbound on the gravel road when he lost control while negotiating a slight curve.
The vehicle left the gravel roadway and collided with a tree head on, causing the vehicle to spin into the raceway. The vehicle came to rest in the Raceway in about 3 feet of water.
The driver sustained injuries, but refused treatment at the scene; his seatbelt was used and the airbag did deploy.
His 19 and 17-year-old passengers from Brodhead also sustained injuries and were transported to an area hospital.
One of those passengers was not wearing a seatbelt.
The vehicle sustained severe overall damage and was towed from the scene. The driver was cited for Reckless Driving and released pending court.
