Vacant Apartment Building Fire In Town Of Albion

Posted Thursday, November 15, 2012 -- 5:40 a.m.

From Dane County Sheriff's Department:

At approximately 12:03 a.m., Dane County Sheriff’s Office deputies, along with the Edgerton FD and EMS, Stoughton FD, Evansville FD, Cambridge FD, and Footville FD responded to 594 Albion Rd. for a fully engulfed vacant two flat apartment building fire. The fire had been called in by a passerby.

The building is considered a total loss. The fire does not appear to be suspicious. The cause remains under investigation. There were no injuries.

Good riddance to an ugly eyesore. It's been vacant for god knows how long and maybe now it will get cleaned up!
