Madison --- Some area residents will be without water Wednesday at least for a short period of time.

"There's this huge reconfiguration happening off of Mineral Point and Junction Road," said Amy Barrilleaux, with Madison Water Utility.

It's a project that's creating a lot of headaches both on the roads, and for the people living close by.

"What we're doing overnight tonight, is basically shutting off the water for everything west of that area where construction is happening," said Barrilleaux.

Andrea Hansen, is one of nearly 200 people that will have their shut-off from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. tomorrow morning.

"Basically the part of the city that's going to be affected is the quadrant in the middle of Mineral Point, Junction Road, Valley View Road to the very western edge of the City of Madison," said Barrilleaux.

"It kind of makes us readjust our schedules, if we shower at night, or try to do laundry or run stuff overnight we kind of had to plan for it," said Hansen.

Anything north of Mineral Point Road will not be affected. The Madison Water Utility says it might not take the entire eight hours.
