MANITOWOC, Wis. (AP) -- Manitowoc police say a groom spent his wedding night in jail after getting in an argument in a bar over the weekend.

An HTR Media report says the 28-year-old from Two Rivers was celebrating Saturday night into Sunday evening. Police say he was still dressed in his white tuxedo when he got into a loud argument.

The police report says he threw a full mug of beer against the wall, almost hitting a woman in the head. Police say he was also profane and abusive.

The owner called police, and the groom and others left. Police found the bride, groom and others driving about 1 a.m., and several members of the group appeared drunk.

The groom was jailed on a probation hold. He's expected to be charged with disorderly conduct.
