ST. GERMAIN, Wis. (AP) — Authorities in far northern Wisconsin are investigating a pedestrian's death as an apparent hit-and-run.
Just after midnight Saturday, Vilas County deputies received a call of a man lying on a road in St. Germain. A responding deputy says it appeared the man had been hit by a car.
The victim was a 31-year-old from the Sayner area. His name has not been released.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
