From the Green County Sheriff's Department:

At 2:50 PM (Friday, October 12, 2012) Deputies along with Blanchardville EMS responded to a one vehicle crash at a residence in the N8800 block of Badger Road, Town of York.

Investigation revealed that Barbara A. Mardones 68, of Blanchardville was removing groceries from a vehicle when the vehicle was disengaged from park and began to roll backwards.

Mardones attempted to enter the vehicle to apply the brake, however her foot became caught and she was dragged down the driveway.

The car collided with two trees in the yard before coming to a rest.

Mardones sustained injuries and was transported by EMS to Monroe ER, the airbags did not deploy.

The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was left at the residence.
