MILWAUKEE (AP) -- AirTran Airways announced Tuesday it will increase the capacity and expand operations of its Milwaukee operations.
The Orlando, Fla.-based airline said it will start daily nonstop flights in May between Milwaukee and four new destinations: Branson, Mo.; St. Louis; Minneapolis-St. Paul, and seasonal service to Denver.
With the additions, AirTran said it will have 30 daily departures from Milwaukee for the summer schedule, compared with 21 in summer 2008. It will also have nonstop service to 18 destinations from Milwaukee, up from 14.
