From the Wisconsin Department of Transportation:
Crossovers in the Interstate 39/90/94 work zone north of Madison are set to open this weekend, creating four lanes of traffic -- two northbound and two southbound -- on the southbound side of the Interstate.
Motorists should anticipate delays during peak hours, particularly northbound traffic on Friday afternoons and southbound traffic on Sunday afternoons. Alternate routes are recommended.
The I-39/90/94 work zone is located in one of the busiest stretches of Interstate for motorists heading north to Wisconsin Dells and points beyond. Crews are working to replace 3.71 miles of pavement and install median safety walls. Speeds are reduced to 55 mph in the work zone.
The current phase of the project will run until May 22.
