Dane and Rock County residents affected by the Summer, 2008 flooding may still be eligible for state assistance.
This may include flood related mold, repairs, or clean-up issues. The Wisconsin Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) Region 3 Long-Term Recovery Committee is coordinating this assistance.
If you have unmet needs from the Summer 2008 flooding, please call the United Way 2-1-1 by simply dialing 2-1-1 or 608 / 246-HELP (4357). The deadline is June 1, 2009. Community Resource Specialists will relay your contact information to a VOAD case manager who will then contact you. The case manager will personally work with you to identify resources that can help you address your flood related needs.
United Way 2-1-1 is a referral and information service which connects people with resources in their community. This is a free and confidential service. Only information the caller intends to have shared will be collected.
The WI VOAD Region #3 covers both Dane and Rock counties with membership including both Rock and Dane County Departments of Emergency Management, the Rock County Planning Agency, The Salvation Army, the American Red Cross, United Methodist Committee on Relief - Wisconsin, Lutheran Social Services, United Way 2-1-1, United Way of North Rock County, Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Rock County, and other local agencies. All are working together to provide assistance in your community.
