The City of Brodhead has banned all burning in the city until 8:00 a.m. on June 20th.

The City of Brodhead has issued a state of emergency due to property damage and loss of utilities following an early morning storm.

As of noon Tuesday, about one-third of the city remains without power.

More than 50 homes received minor to moderate damage from fallen trees. Several vehicles sustained damaged from falling limbs.

Public workers and utilities are out clearing roads, removing fallen tees and limbs and restoring power.

Brodhead Fire and Police personnel are conducting damage assessments to find out just how many homes may have been damaged.

Citizens should avoid any down utility lines and report them to Brodhead Police at 897-2112.
