UPDATE: Missing Edgerton man with Alzheimer's found safe

UPDATED Wednesday, November 27, 2013 --- 1:31 p.m.

Edgerton Police are releasing more information after a missing man with Alzheimer's was found safe Wednesday morning.

Francis Janitch was reported missing Tuesday afternoon after dropping his wife off at the Piggly Wiggly.

Police say Janitch was found around 2:00 a.m. Wednesday in Joliet, Illinois. Officers found him safe in his vehicle.

Joliet is about 145 miles from Edgerton.

The search for a missing man with Alzheimer's is over.

According to Rock County Communications Francis Janitch was located safe early Wednesday morning.

Edgerton Police are looking for a man with Alzheimer’s who left the Piggly Wiggly Tuesday afternoon.

Officers are looking for Francis Janitch. He left in a black Chrysler Concord with Wisconsin plates 661-NUJ.

Janitch dropped his wife off at the store and was last seen in the parking lot around 2:30 p.m.

Janitch is 5'7” and 180 lbs. He has white hair and blue eyes.

Anyone who sees Janitch should call 911.
