Madison Police say Freakfest 2013 wrapped up with no significant incidents reported to police in the event area. It was estimated that more than 35,000 attended the annual State Street event.
As of 1:45 a.m. there had been 28 arrests. Most people were cited and released for things like disorderly conduct, or underage drinking.
Madison Police are thanking all those who helped make Freakfest save this year.
" We would also like to recognize the efforts of our partner agencies: Dane County Sheriff's Department, Capitol Police Department, Fitchburg Police Department, UW-Madison Police Department and the Madison Fire Department," the Madison Police Department said.

Last year was the first year law enforcement scaled back its presence at Freakfest after saying the event is more organized than in the past. This year, there are even fewer officers present on State Street, as they anticipate the Halloween party to remain under control.
"We all breath a sense of relief the fact that we don't have the same characters around, the same violence that was associated with Freakfest 6 or 7 years ago," said Mike Hanson with the Madison Police Dept. "So that was obviously resource intensive, the fact that we don't have to do that is definitely a victory for the entire city and community."
