Neighbors helping neighbors. For the third year in a row, Wisconsin families in need, will stay warm for the winter.
It's inevitable, we live in Wisconsin, winter will come. So we need to make sure we have a working furnace. But, not everyone can afford a new one. That's why some local companies are dedicated to "Heating U.P. Wisconsin."
Saturday, several Dane County families received the gift of warmth. Homeowner, Cheryl Brock, was in desperate need of a new furnace. She had one from the 1980's. So, as you can imagine the moment she found out she was selected to get a free furnace, she was overjoyed. Brock says, "My daughter's next to me, I'm punching her on the shoulder as I'm listening, oh my gosh, it's them, it's them."
Christopher Pramas and his employees share that same excitement, they're willing to donate their time to make sure she stays warm this winter. It's certainly not an easy task, but they say it's all worth it. Pramas says she'll save money on her energy bills, have a new clean heating system and will be comfortable this winter.
Lennox dealers have promised to provide 100 furnaces this year. They will be doing this again next year. If you'd like to nominate someone head to www.heatupwisconsin.com .
