High water closes Rock Co. road, destroys pedestrian bridge

Updated Tuesday, June 25, 2013 --- 10:00 p.m.

Rock Co. deputies are monitoring a few areas due to high water.

South Carvers Rock Road is closed from East Creek Road to East Larsen Road until further notice.

Our photographer in the area took a picture of a pedestrian bridge that has been destroyed by high water.

Deputies are also monitoring Turtle Creek in Clinton and the Sugar River in the Avon Township, where a portion of Beloit Newark Rd. is closed due to the river rising over its banks several feet above its flood stage.
