Press Release from the City of Madison:

Metro Detours from Downtown Area on Friday and Saturday Due to Freakfest

Buses detour from the downtown and University of Wisconsin campus area on Friday, October 26 and Saturday, October 27 due to the Freakfest Event.

CAPITOL LOOP
Starts Friday, October 26 (6 PM) - Sunday, October 28

Buses follow the Capitol Loop starting Friday, October 26 at 6 PM. Lasts through Sunday, October 28.

ROUTES 2, 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8: Detour from State St. and Downtown Area
Starts Saturday, October 27 at 5 PM

Routes 2, 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8 will detour from the downtown area on Saturday, October 27 starting at 5 PM. Detours will last through the end of the service day.

Delays can be expected on all routes throughout the evening.

ROUTES 81 AND 82
Saturday, October 27

Routes 81 and 82 will run a combined route. Look for "Route 82 - Special Event" on bus destination sign.
