Press Release:

Hey Teens! Looking for something to do this summer? How about volunteering at the Monona Public Library! Teen Volunteers are vital to the success of the library’s Summer Reading & Activity Program. This volunteer project provides opportunities for middle and high school ages students to interact with library staff and young children, learning responsibility and developing good work habits.

Teen Volunteers (TVs) assist with the reading program, crafts, Wednesday @ ONEderlands afternoon performances, and other programs. TVs also help prepare materials needed for summer activities and decorate the library. TVs are asked to donate 20 hours or more during the summer and should be entering 6th to 12th grade. Deadline for applications is Monday, May 28 at 5pm. Applications are available at the Monona Public Library and on the library’s website: www.mononalibrary.org.

Variety is great when planning your summer activities. Donate some time to the Monona Library, learn good work habits, have fun!
