From the Monroe Fire Department:
The Monroe Fire Department is hiring part‐time Paid‐on‐Call firefighters. This is a terrific opportunity to serve your community and be part of a first rate organization.
Our Paid–On‐Call members form the backbone of our response to nearly 300 calls each year.
Members are compensated for all training, response and work hours. We also pay for all state certification training and provide all needed safety equipment.
A number of our members have gone on to career departments in Madison, Freeport and other communities because of the training and experience they obtain here.
The schedule for the hiring process is set as follows;
