From the City of Madison:

New taxicab stands have been designated and new signs installed at the following SIX locations:

400 N. Frances Street
300 W. Gorham Street
500 N. Lake Street
300 W. Johnson Street
200 N. Henry Street
600 block of University Avenue

These locations are designated as taxicab stands during the peak taxicab demand hours of 6:00 pm to 6:00 am. The purposes of these new stands are to help State Street patrons more easily find available taxicabs and, also, to alleviate taxicab traffic on State Street.
