MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- New unemployment insurance applicants in Wisconsin will soon be required to register online with Job Service of Wisconsin.
The Department of Workforce Development says that beginning Oct. 13 new claimants will have 14 days to register for work at the Job Services' website JobCenterofWisconsin.com.
Department Secretary Reggie Newson says the state is trying to motivate claimants to take advantage of the resources in the Wisconsin Job Service system, which includes tens of thousands of job openings.
Assistant Deputy Secretary John Fandrich says once an applicant logs on to the Job Center's website they will be asked a series of questions to help build a resumT to which potential employers will have access.
