Scam Alert: Warning From The Platteville Police Department

From the Platteville Police Department:

Perpetrators are once again attempting to obtain debit card information for potential fraudulent use.

We have been notified by First National Bank that members are receiving automated phone calls from “First National Bank Security” asking members to reactivate their debit card and to provide pass code numbers.

First National Bank has identified this as a scam and asks members not to provide any personal information in response to this automated call.

First National Bank does not request any member information to be disclosed via automated calls.

If you have provided any information in response to a similar call, please contact your local law enforcement agency and financial institution to report details.
