Madison, WI. March 13, 2012 – The Dane County Sheriff’s Office is encouraging citizens from the town of Albion to attend a Community Notification meeting regarding the release of Morris F. Clement.

A Core Team evaluates and makes decisions on the level of notification to the community for the release of sex offenders under Wisconsin Statutes 301.45 and 301.46. The Core Team will be holding a Community Notification meeting on Wednesday, March 14th, at 6:30 pm. The meeting will be held at the Albion Town Hall, located at 624 Albion Road in Edgerton. The Core Team will offer information about the Community Notification Law and the release of Morris Clement.

Clement, age 75, had a conviction in 1987 for 2 counts of First Degree Sexual Assault. He has additional sexual assault convictions in which the victims were minor females. A photo of Clement will be available at the meeting, as well as more detailed information regarding his offenses. Authorities will also provide citizens with information about protective behaviors and personal safety.
