Posted Thursday, July 5, 2012 --- 1:24 p.m.

Press Release from the City of Madison:

The Sequoya Library located at 4340 Tokay Boulevard will close at 2 pm on Thursday, July 5, due to loss of air conditioning. The library will remain closed for the rest of Thursday as maintenance crews work to restore air conditioning to the library.

All programs and meetings occurring at the Sequoya Library after 2 pm have been concealed, and the Library Board meeting scheduled for 4:30 pm today has been relocated to the Central Library at 126 S. Hamilton St.

The library will announce a reopening time for Friday, July 6, on the City of Madison news release system, as well as its own web site, Facebook and Twitter.

Library items due today may be returned in the library's book drop or to any other area public library. Customers are encouraged to call an open library to renew items or with other library-related questions.
