GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will be in Wisconsin today to campaign for Republican Governor Scott Walker in the recall election. Christie will visit Green Bay for a luncheon with Walker before traveling to a landscaping company in a Milwaukee suburb.
MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Dozens of people have until noon today to leave a Dane County encampment that began as an Occupy Madison demonstration on a city-owned lot. The Occupy Madison movement began last October as a protest against economic inequality and social injustice. But the encampment has evolved into a gathering spot of mostly homeless people.
MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- The three newest regents at the University of Wisconsin System are getting ready to start their terms. The 18-member board establishes policies and rules for governing the UW System. The regents also help set admissions policies and approve university budgets.
STEVENS POINT, Wis. (AP) -- A University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point instructor will give a lecture next week on the psychological barriers low-income college students face. Jody Lewis says her research focuses on factors that prevent poor students from graduating. She also studies how to improve classroom activities and testing methods.
