MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- A Madison truck driver and his wife are set to return to court later this week after they were charged with starving and torturing the man's 15-year-old daughter. NEW GLARUS, Wis. (AP) -- A tourism promoter is hoping to turn southwest Wisconsin's spotty cellphone and broadband service into an attraction for tourists who are hoping to go on technology-free getaways. The area's hills interfere with gadget connectivity, and the executive director of the Tri-State Tourism Council says he wants to use that to promote unplugged vacations.

RUSSELL, Wis. (AP) -- Lincoln County authorities say a burglar who broke into a Russell garage and stole a 50-pound bag of sunflower seeds turned out to be a bear. Sheriff's deputies found claw marks, a broken window and evidence that the furry thief dragged the bag of seeds into nearby woods. So far, the bear hasn't been found.
