Don't panic, it might take a little while, but things are bound to get better.
That's the advice to you- the investor, from CNBC commentator Greg Valliere.
Suby Von Haden and Associates invited Valliere to town to speak to investors in Madison Wednesday.
Valliere says to get things back on track, Congress first has to pass that financial bailout package.
But he warns, don't expect an instant turnaround when that happens.
"It would be naive to say the economy's going to turnaround immediately, once we get passage of the bailout bill. It's not going to happen. I think we go through the winter and possibly spring with the economy very soft. At some point, housing values will bottom. Once housing bottoms, I think things will turn around. It might be summer before it turns around. These cycles all have a pattern, and at some point next year, economy will start to look better," says Valliere.
