MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Federal prosecutors in Milwaukee say a 50-year-old Canadian man has been sentenced to just over 10 years in prison on four charges related to child pornography.
Eric "Rick" Gauthier of Alberta, Canada, was convicted of sending videos to an undercover officer that showed the sexual assault of children as young as 18 months old.
In handing down the sentence Tuesday, Chief Judge Rudolph Randa said the events marked the worst case of child pornography he had ever presided over.
Court documents say Gauthier sent child porn to a witness in eastern Wisconsin, who reported the incident to the FBI. When Gauthier was arrested he allegedly had a DVD of child porn with him.
Gauthier's attorney did not immediately return a message Tuesday.
