GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- A Green Bay man is jailed on $100,000 bond after being accused of sexually assaulting a 14-month-old girl who required immediate surgery for her injuries.
Thirty-three-year-old Jesse Cayemberg was charged Tuesday in Brown County Circuit Court with first-degree sexual assault of a child under 13 with great bodily harm, carrying 25 years to life in prison.
Authorities said the girl was left with a babysitter Sept. 27, but Cayemberg watched her and the babysitter's two daughters while the babysitter was at a wedding.
One of the other girls told police Cayemberg took the 14-month-old in a bedroom, and she heard the toddler crying as if hurt.
There was no lawyer listed for Cayemberg on computerized state court records.
