UPDATE: A Green Bay man has been ordered to stand trial in the stabbing death of his girlfriend.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- A Green Bay man has been ordered to stand trial in the stabbing death of his girlfriend.

A court commissioner in Brown County determined Wednesday there's enough evidence to send 50-year-old Michael Whitmire to trial on a charge of first-degree intentional homicide. He's accused of killing 45-year-old Ouida Wright at her Green Bay home last month.

WLUK-TV reports Whitmire is due back in court in August.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- A Green Bay man is charged in the stabbing death of his girlfriend.

Fifty-year-old Michael Whitmire is charged with first-degree intentional homicide. He appeared Monday in Brown County court, where a judge set a $250,000 cash bond.

Forty-five-year-old Ouida Wright was found fatally stabbed at her Green Bay home on Friday.

WLUK-TV reports Whitmire is due back in court May 17. Online court records do not list a defense attorney.

GREEN BAY - Green Bay police arrested a man Sunday in the death of Ouida Wright.

Michael Whitmire, 50, was booked into the jail on a charge of first-degree intentional homicide at 4:48 p.m. Sunday.

More information is expected to be released later today.

Whitmire is scheduled to appear in court at 2:30 p.m.

Wright was found stabbed to death at her Day Street home on Friday. Green Bay police said her 50-year-old boyfriend was a "person of interest" in the case.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Green Bay police are questioning a 50-year-old man in connection with the death of a 45-year-old woman.

The Green Bay Press-Gazette reports (http://gbpg.net/18l6Lk3) officers found Ouida Wright dead at a house at about 7:30 a.m. Friday. Police are calling it a domestic violence homicide.

Police Lt. Kevin Warych says another person who was in the home was not injured.

Warych would not say where the woman was found or whether anyone else was involved. But he says there is no threat to the community.
