OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) -- Pilots Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger and Jeff Skiles never met before the fateful US Airways flight that ended with a miraculous water landing on the Hudson River last January.
Now, Sullenberger jokes that he and Skiles have spent so much time together since then, they're becoming "an old married couple finishing each other's sentences."
The pilots talked to a packed crowd at EAA AirVenture Thursday afternoon. They'll also appear at Theater in the Woods evening program Friday.
Skiles, who lives in Oregon, Wis., jokes that he was the one who flew the plane into the birds that caused them to ditch into the Hudson, so he would like a little credit for making Sullenberger a hero.
