MILWAUKEE (AP) -- An advertising agency has donated its services to create a public relations campaign for the Milwaukee Police Department.
The campaign, by Cramer-Krasselt/Milwaukee, is designed to put the department in a positive light and help recruiting efforts.
The theme, "Be a Force," will appear on billboards, television, radio and newspapers starting this month.
No taxpayer funds were used. The department estimates the campaign would have cost more than $1 million. Some media outlets have also donated the time or space.
