GERMANTOWN, Wis. (AP) -- Five students and two drivers were injured when a school bus and a car collided in Washington County Wednesday.
Police say 21 students were on the bus and were heading to MacArthur Elementary School in Germantown when the crash occurred at a local intersection.
Germantown Police Chief Peter Hoell tells WTMJ radio the bus stopped for a stop sign, but then proceeded into traffic and failed to yield to the car. Five of the six people injured were taken to Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls. One student was treated at the scene and released to a parent.
