Adams County Man Accidentally Shot By Neighbor Taking Target Practice

A neighbor taking target practice accidentally shoots an Adams County man.

Here is the release from the Adams County Sheriff's Office:

On 10/20/12 at 11:41 a.m., the Adams County Sheriff's Office received a call reporting a person had been shot by a stray bullet in the 2900 block of 11th Drive in Easton Township.

Investigation revealed that a male was outside working on his property when he was struck by a stray bullet.

Information was obtained that a nearby property had been target practicing.

The victim was not critically injured.

Curtis ambulance transported the victim to Moundview Memorial and he was later transported by air ambulance to a Madison Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

The incident remains under investigation by the Adams County Sheriff's Office.

No further information is being released at this time.
