MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. (AP) -- Senior living facility operator Assisted Living Concepts Inc. has fired CEO Laurie Bebo.
The Menomonee Falls-based company Tuesday named a retired U.S. Air Force lieutenant general, Dr. Charles H. "Chip" Roadman II, interim president and CEO. Roadman is a member of the Assisted Living board and a former surgeon general of the Air Force.
Bebo had been chief executive since Assisted Living became a public company in 2006.
Assisted Living operates more than 200 centers in 20 states.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel (http://bit.ly/LQKBuG) reports regulators in several states, including Wisconsin, have found a string of operational problems at several of the company's centers in the past year.
A spokesman for Assisted Living says the board thought it was time for a leadership change and no one issue prompted the move.
