Beloit Anthropology Professor Dies In Chile

BELOIT, Wis. (AP) -- A longtime anthropology professor at Beloit College has died while on a research trip to South America.

College spokesman Jason Hughes says Dan Shea died Tuesday after a fall in Chile, where he and five students had been since June 8.

Hughes tells the Journal Sentinel (http://bit.ly/LEO4KB ) the group was scheduled to stay in Chile until June 27, but the students will return to Wisconsin as soon as arrangements are made.
