MOSINEE, Wis. (AP) -- A bicyclist who died after she was hit by a car in Mosinee had lost her husband in a bicycle crash just a few years ago.

The Wausau Daily Herald reports Thursday that 44-year-old Tammy Gass died Wednesday just miles from the spot where her husband was killed in 2008.

Brenda Sunby was with the Gass family Thursday and confirmed the death for the newspaper. The Marathon County Sheriff's Department hasn't released her name.

Gass was married to 41-year-old Gregg Bednorski, who died Sept. 18, 2008, after crashing his bicycle into a parked car.

Sunby says Gass recently remarried and the couple planned to leave on their honeymoon next week.

The driver of the car who hit Gass was arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended license.
