Information from news partner WLUK:

A black bear was spotted in Grand Chute Saturday morning.

The bear was seen running across College Avenue around 6:30 a.m.

It was also seen near the intersection of West Spencer Street and Mayflower Avenue in Grand Chute.

As of 7 a.m., police said the bear was last seen heading south into Winnebago County, near the town of Menasha.

Department of Natural Resources officials say if people spot the bear, they should leave it alone and give it space.

They say the bear should eventually head back to a less populated area.
