UPDATED Monday, October 29, 2012--9:30p.m.

NBC15 stopped by the scene earlier this evening--and we don't have a perfect picture of exactly what happened--but we know that at least a few people were taken to the hospital.

Here's what police are telling us right now: Around four this afternoon police were called to a house in Whitewater.

Reports say a child was cut during a domestic incident.

We don't know how many people were involved--but we're told there was one male suspect and several other family members.

That male suspect fled from the house with two children before police showed up.

Shortly after that a Rock County deputy spotted the suspect in a vehicle and we're told there was a chase. The sheriff's department did catch the man.

We did speak with a neighbor who was home at the time of the incident--she described the scene for us: "We were watching tv and we heard some squads and then about a minute later we heard them again....." said Ashley Voigt, who lives near the scene. "We looked outside and there was cop cars everywhere, there was like seven squads and they were all, you know, over the car with their guns drawn."

All told, two people were taken to Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital.
And the two children that were taken by the suspect were taken to a local hospital. Unfortunately, police are not able to tell us about their conditions right now.
