Columbus Man Arrested for 8th OWI

From the Columbus Police Department:

On 11/30/12 at 1:51 p.m., Columbus Police Lieutenant Dennis Weiner observed a subject operating a motor vehicle known not to have a license.

The subject was stopped for that violation. During the initial contact, an odor of intoxicants was detected coming from the subjects breath. A review of the drivers record indicated he had 7 prior OWI arrests since 1989.

The subject provided a preliminary breath test with a result of .049 BAC. Due to the subjects prior offenses, his prohibited alcohol content in Wisconsin is .02 BAC.

Mark L. Krueger, 52, Columbus, was arrested taken for a blood test. He was then booked into the Columbia County Jail on Felony OWI charges, Operating While Suspended and a Probation Violation.
