UPDATE: Divers end search of Sheboygan River

UPDATED Friday, July 11, 2014 --- 10:10 a.m.

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (AP) -- Authorities used chain saws to clear brush and reach the victim of a car crash along the Sheboygan River.

Authorities say the driver struck several trees and a power pole in the crash early Friday in Sheboygan's Kiwanis Park. He was found outside the vehicle along the river bank.

Divers searched the river for a possible second victim, but found no one. The driver was airlifted to a Sheboygan hospital then transferred to Theda Clark in Neenah.

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (AP) -- Search and rescue divers are in a river in Sheboygan, but aren't certain there is someone in the water.

WISN-TV reports a vehicle crashed near the Sheboygan River in Kiwanis Park shortly before 3 a.m. Friday. One crash victim was found nearby.

And, authorities have unconfirmed reports that there may have been a second person in the vehicle.
