BELOIT, Wis. (AP) -- Beloit authorities are looking for a former city employee accused of using city funds to buy personal items such as a laptop computer, lawnmowers and tools.

A search warrant says the man spent nearly $33,000 of city money on items that were never delivered to the city.

The Beloit Daily News is withholding the man's name because he hasn't been arrested or charged. Police say they're still looking for him.

The man used to work in the utilities division of the public-works department.

The search warrant says an internal investigation found that he bought a riding lawnmower that was never delivered to the city. The warrant says city officials then investigated further and learned of other items that were also charged to the city but were unaccounted for.
