MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Madison police say an officer was involved in an early morning shooting that took place while investigating a residential burglary. Authorities say there's no word yet on who was shot or the extent of their injuries.
MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin wildlife officials say deer hunters should keep an eye out for elk and moose. Elk now occupy parts of Ashland, Bayfield, Price and Sawyer counties while moose have been sighted in the state's northern counties. Both species are protected.
MILWAUKEE (AP) -- "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest will narrate for the third season of a PBS documentary that's being produced in the Milwaukee area. "Pioneers of Television" revisits old shows and stars using original interviews, clips and dramatic re-creations. It's been nominated twice for an Emmy.
MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin children are being asked to decorate ornaments for the Capitol Christmas tree. Officials say they're looking for brightly colored ornaments that showcase goods or products that are made in Wisconsin such as milk and cheese, cranberries and Harley Davidson motorcycles.
