UPDATE: Not guilty plea in Marathon County overdose death

UPDATED Tuesday, May 22. 2013 --- 11:25 a.m.

WAUSAU, Wis. (AP) -- The girlfriend of a Wausau man accused of providing the heroin that killed him has pleaded not guilty in Marathon County.

Thirty-three-year-old Nycole Creed entered the plea Wednesday to delivering heroin. Creed is accused of buying heroin and giving it to Thomas Knickerbocker leading to his overdose death March 11.

WSAW-TV says the man who sold the heroin to Creed is also charged in the case. Creed is due back in court June 12.

WAUSAU, Wis. (AP) -- The girlfriend of a Wausau man is charged with supplying the heroin that caused his death.

Thirty-year-old Thomas Knickerbocker was found dead March 11 in his home. An autopsy showed he died of a heroin overdose. A police report says there were two young children in the home when Knickerbocker died.

Daily Herald Media reports 33-year-old Nycole Creed is charged with a felony count of manufacturing or delivering heroin. Marathon County Judge Greg Grau ordered Creed held on a $10,000 bond.
