Heavy Winds in Western Wis. Knock Over Semi

CHIMNEY ROCK, Wis. (AP) -- High winds knocked over a semi-tractor trailer going down the highway during a thunder storm in western Wisconsin's Trempealeau County.

The Trempealeau County Sheriff's Department says the resulting crash left the semi stretched across a bridge, causing the closure of State Road 93 between Eau Claire and La Crosse for about two and a half hours Sunday afternoon.

The driver of the semi sustained minor injuries but refused treatment. His truck's trailer unit was empty.

Parts of southern Minnesota and western Wisconsin are forecast to possibly suffer severe weather Sunday night into Memorial Day.
