MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- University of Wisconsin System President Kevin Reilly has chosen an international expert to serve as UW-Eau Claire's interim chancellor.

Gilles Bousquet currently serves as dean of UW-Madison's Division of International Studies and International Institute director. Bousquet was born in Algeria and grew up in France.

He'll replace current UW-Eau Claire Chancellor Brian Levin-Stankevich, who will leave in May to take over as president at Westminster College in Salt Lake City.

UW-Eau Claire Provost and Vice Chancellor Patricia Klein will lead the school until Bousquet takes over on July 15.
