The Rock County Sheriff's Office arrested 36-year-old Clifford Grice of Janesville on his fifth OWI offense early Sunday morning.
A patrol Sergeant initiated the traffic stop on Grice for failing to yield the right of way as Grice emerged from a driveway on Center Ave.
The Sergeant was assisted by a Deputy, who conducted the OWI investigation. The Deputy detected an odor of intoxicants on Grice’s breath, as he made contact with him.
The Deputy conducted field sobriety tests on Grice, who failed the tests. Grice was subsequently arrested for 5th Offense OWI, and was issued multiple citations.
Grice was transported to the Rock County Jail where he was being held for a preliminary appearance in jail court on Monday.
