MANITOWOC, Wis. (AP) -- A Manitowoc woman will remain on house arrest until she is sentenced in December for a drunken driving crash that killed three people.
Forty-four-year-old Becky Holly has pleaded no contest to charges for the October crash that killed Lawrence Gerroll, his wife Lou Ann and their daughter, Joan.
Prosecutors say Holly was drunk when her minivan veered off the road, into a yard where the Gerrolls were standing. Holly's 6-year-old son was a passenger in the van and was injured.
Matt Gerroll, the couple's son and Joan's brother, says it's best for the whole family that there will be no trial.
WLUK-TV (http://tinyurl.com/cm9qzek ) reports the state is recommending Holly spend 20 years in prison with up to 18 years of extended supervision. She will be sentenced Dec. 4.
