DE PERE, Wis. (AP) -- The Medical College of Wisconsin has selected St. Norbert College in De Pere for its Green Bay area satellite campus.
Officials say construction will begin next spring to accommodate Medical College education and research at St. Norbert. The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and Bellin College in Bellevue were among alternative sites under consideration.
The Green Bay Press-Gazette says St. Norbert offered to incorporate the medical school into a science building expansion that's already on the books. A $41 million fund-raising effort is under way.
The Milwaukee suburban-based Medical College announced last June that it planned to locate new campuses in the Green Bay area and in central Wisconsin.
