CALEDONIA, Wis. (AP) -- An 82-year-old Wisconsin woman who was missing for more than a day has been found safe about 80 miles away after she collapsed in a grocery store in Illinois.
A Journal Times of Racine report says Jean Fox of Caledonia left home Monday morning to go shopping. She wasn't heard from again until she was found Tuesday afternoon in Wheaton, Ill.
Her daughter, Myra Fox, says her mother was found confused but safe. She also says her mother has started to show signs of dementia.
Myra Fox says she started getting worried after her mother hadn't returned home Tuesday morning. She used bank records to track her mother's purchases, and found out that Jean Fox had stopped at gas stations in Waukesha and in Roscoe, Ill.
