BEAVER DAM, Wis. (AP) -- Beaver Dam authorities say a 5-year-old child was struck and killed last evening. Investigators say the child stepped into traffic from behind a parked vehicle and was hit by the truck.
RACINE, Wis. (AP) -- The four major Democratic candidates who are hoping to challenge Governor Scott Walker in the spring recall election will be in Racine this evening for a town hall forum. Organizers of the event say voters will be able to ask questions and each candidate will have a minute to respond.
MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Dane County officials are collecting hazardous household garbage. The county starts summer hours for its Clean Sweep Program on May 1st. People can bring hazardous household waste such as pesticides or paint thinners to the Clean Sweep site in Madison during certain hours on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Milwaukee officials are holding a home ownership fair next weekend for people who want to buy foreclosed properties. The city has tripled the number of houses they've had to take over because people didn't pay their taxes.
